Connect to your inner power

Most people stop after the first 4 C’s I shared (check my previous blog), whereas a lot is still to gain from the next 3 C’s.

From burnout to feeling alive and on purpose - the 5th and 6th C that changed my life: Connection & Consciousness

“Becoming a force for good, creating a lasting difference takes an incredible amount of energy, flexibility and focus. You don’t want to burn yourself out in the process. One of the most important tools that anyone must have who is trying to enact systemic change in the world, [   ] is to be able to access within themselves that limitless field of energy, creativity, intelligence within. It's not a whoo whoo place. It’s a very real experience that comes about through different approaches” - Bob Roth

My inner journey started when I hit rock bottom

I was crying under the shower so my children wouldn’t see my tears. At that very moment I got a vision of a man dressed in white, giving me a golden key. The key to my heart.

Now, I have a scientific background,  never had a vision before in my life and didn’t believe in spirituality, so I didn’t make much of it at the time. Until a few months later, when I accidentally met this man and he turned out to be a spiritual teacher and healer. He taught me how to meditate and showed me the way to remembering who I really am. Connecting with my true Self, and expanding my Consciousness.

Connecting with my true self, expanding my Consciousness

A field full of love, intelligence, beauty and power

Through regular practice I can say that I now have a clear understanding of who I am, beyond the body, mind, intellect and ego. I call it a unified field of consciousness, full of love, intelligence, beauty and power. It is not a whoo whoo place. It is indeed a very real experience. During this time of worldly turbulence I have intensified my morning practices. Because it keeps me calm, clear and with a sense of peace and wellbeing. I know that this is where humanity still has a lot to gain.

Because most of us identify ourselves with our name, fame, education, how much money we make, our thoughts, fears, worries and what is going on in the world. We have forgotten who we truly are and what we are capable of.

If meditation would be taught at schools, together with creating an empowered mindset, the world would soon be a different place. And for those that believe they cannot meditate, no worries, there are so many other practices that can help you open your heart and mind.

Becoming a force for good

Becoming a force for good is best done with these tools in our back pockets. Because life will sometimes throw us curveballs, and it’s how you react to them that matters.

The best advice I can give you is to start a morning routine. Start small and pick something that works for you. And be committed! Yes, you will sometimes skip your practices, but don’t take that as an excuse to drop it altogether. Start again and keep going. You will be thankful you did.

In my next blog I will share the 7th and last C that helped me live a purpose-driven life. C you there!
